Abstract
In-order to deploy an effective healthcare system, the need for intelligent healthcare technology is most sought because of its faster medical response. With the help of the smart wearable devices the medical data can be uploaded to cloud health records which provide access to doctors for monitoring the patient health in real-time, thereby intelligent healthcare is achieved at a low cost and many smart devices are produced by the healthcare industry. An important challenge in heart rate monitoring is integration of several smart devices as well as protocols within the network remains a tedious task, for instance, smartphones used to collect data becomes difficult to connect with that particular network and with other various communication protocols that complicates the process of aggregating the information. The objective of this paper is to evaluate heart rate monitoring information system based on IoT where reliability metric to the design process is in focus.
