Abstract
This objective of research was studied the influence parameters into the surface roughness of JIS 440 stainless steel on lapping process. Factorial experiment was applied to analyze the four-alumina powder size of 1.00, 3.00, 6.00, 9.00 µm and ninelapping time of 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 210, 240 และ 270 min, respectively. In preparing of specimen surface roughness for experimental, was used the ratio between the alumina powder of 200 g, alumina powder lubricant of 150 ml and water of 1 l which was obtain the average surface roughness value (Ra) of 1.0-2.0 µm. The best result of statistical analysis was exhibited the alumina powder size of 1.00 µm was obtained the lowest average surface roughness (Ra) of 0.0340 µm. Moreover, the statistical comparison of desirability was highest of 98.94%.
