Abstract
Soil contamination has become the major issue due to dumping of electronic, medical and other hazardous waste. To understand the contaminant transport mathematical modeling plays an essential role in the study of soil contamination. The governing equation representing the transport phenomena can be solved by analytical as well as numerical methods depending on the complexity of the problem. Many researchers have developed mathematical models to study contamination flow through soil under different circumstances and with different conditions. Those models helps to study and remediation of soil contamination. This paper focuses on different mathematical models developed by various researchers.
