Abstract
In this paper, speed control of three-phase induction motor using switching-tablebased Direct Torque Controlled (ST-DTC) technique is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment and its performance is studied with step change in load torque. The electromagnetic torque response, speed tracking performances and stator flux trajectory for different value of speeds and torques are obtained and the results are presented. The simulation results show a better dynamic performance of the induction motor when using the proposed ST-DTC in comparison with a fixed PI controller. Also, the ST-DTC has improved the speed control of the IM over a wide range of operating conditions.
