Abstract
This study focuses on the evaluating the performance returns of Indian equity mutual funds during the pandemic. The risk adjusted measures of the sample funds are calculated and observe that they do not show any significant relationship with the fund's returns. Sample data of 1475 Indian equity mutual funds were collected, and their returns were recorded from Jan 2020 till Jun 2020. The results show that the funds that invested in gold, pharma and government securities yielded positive returns in comparison with other funds. Our findings suggest that during this period the investors suffered negative returns irrespective of their risk appetite and there is no significance of risk adjusted measures in this period.
