POWER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT BY USING OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUE & FACTS CONTROLLER

The main objective is to Mitigate Power Quality problems in distribution system.Study of Power System and causes of Disturbances affecting the Power quality at the consumer premises.Equipments and Techniques required for delivery of Power Quality under normal and abnormal conditions of load.Applications of D-STATCOM and GWO Optimization Technique for fault Analysis. In the field of instrumentation, simulations of various controllers are done by using various softwares such as MATLAB/Simulink & Labview etc. The main aim is to model multimachine system with D-STATCOM & GWO controllers in Simulink/MATLAB which is very much closer to the actual physical system and analyze their response using MATLAB/Simulink. The results showed clearly the performance of the D-STATCOM &GWO in mitigating voltage sag as well as current swell.
