Abstract

In this manuscript, Hybrid genetic - Bat swarm clustering algorithm (GA-BSO) is proposed that utilize Genetic algorithm (GA) for the cluster head (CH) selection and optimizes the Base-station mobility to acquire the optimal network performance. Initially, randomly nodes are used in network and then base-station is placed at the network corner. Once the network is predictable, clustering routing process is done in which CH selection is accomplish throughout the cluster by applying GA. Then base station mobility can be disguised by Bat swarm algorithm. By this, Base station can able to move the data collection for corresponding nodes. The simulations are performed using NS2 simulator to validate the performance of the proposed hybrid GA-BSO Clustering routing protocol provide high network life time as 15%, high throughput as 13.5 %, average energy consumption as 79%, average end to end delay as 37.5% compared with the state-of-art routing algorithms in terms of the Quality of service (QoS) parameters performances.
