Abstract
Molybdenum-containing catalysts have high catalytic activity in methane aromatization reaction without the participation of oxidizing agents. The effect of the ratio of active components on the activity and efficiency of the catalyst was studied and the possibility of achieving a high result when adding zirconium to the composition of the molybdenum-based catalyst was proved. As a result of the studies, a catalyst of the optimal composition of 5.0% Mo•1,0% Zr•1,0% Zn/bentonite was selected. The dependence of the rate of the methane aromatization reaction without an oxidizing agent, the yield and selectivity of aromatic hydrocarbons, as well as the conversion of starting materials from temperature, volume speed, contact time, the ratio of active catalyst components, was studied and the following optimal reaction conditions were chosen: T = 750 оC, the volume feed rate of methane 1000 h-1. Under optimal conditions, the yield of aromatic hydrocarbons is 40.4%.
