Abstract
The DSM is quite a popular analysis method for system modeling and displays the relationship between various system components. In recent years, DSM has provided insights into the design process and product architecture, which has helped the manufacturing industries, understand their product much better. The present work focuses on the application of DSM for studying the interaction among various tasks for a brake assembly system for better and efficient performance. The brake assembly system analysis identified two main controlling functional elements: stopping a vehicle and temperature-related issues. The design modes highlight the important tasks that affect the brake assembly system's efficiency, and lays a roadmap for the design engineers to further solve them.
