FABRICATION OF ZN DOPED SNO2 THIN FILMS AND ITS TUNING EFFECTS

Abstract
Pure SnO2 and Zn doped SnO2 thin films are synthesized by using self -assembled spray pyrolysis method. The structural property was investigated by XRD analysis and confirmed that all synthesized samples have a tetragonal structure. The average grain size values of the SnO2: Zn (0%, 1at%, 2at% and 3at %) thin films was well acknowledged with the XRD results. The rate of doping (3at%) of Zn with SnO2 thin films shows maximum transmittance. optical band gap energy increases as the carrier concentration was increased by Zn doping. Linear increase in the transient current with voltage which is the indication of ohmic nature of the specimens is observed.
