Abstract
Outage analysis is considered to be a highly challenging task in a MANET. When signal gets transmitted from the sender in the form of radio waves, due to interference like fading, shadowing, diffraction, refraction, reflection and co-channel interference, the Signal to Noise ratio get affected. When SNR depreciate with distance, the decrease in signal strength is referred to as outage analysis. For analysis, the wireless ad-hoc network is considered as an undirected geometric random graph with fixed topology and the link probability between nodes during multipath multicasting is calculated using realistic radio model which is called as log-normal shadowing model. In this paper, a mathematical model is done and outage probability is calculated during multipath multicasting of video information in an adhocnetwork.
