Abstract
The Additive Manufacturing (AM) industry has made a lot of progress over the years in terms of the variety of materials used and possible industrial applications of 3D printed parts. The possibility of this type of manufacturing process replacing or even being more competitive than other modern processes such as injection molding, computer numerical control(CNC) machining, plastic forming, and plastic joining, is rapidly growing every year as further research is conducted and more discoveries are made. Therefore this review is aimed at exploring how AM has advanced and adopted over the last decade in industrial applications.
