Abstract
Damage to buildings such as crack and exfoliation requires continuous maintenance because the risk of safety accidents increases. However, existing detection method for the damage is visual inspection method, there is a limitation. Recently, unmanned aerial vehicle with high mobility and versatility equipped with various sensors is attracting attention in safety inspection. This study detected and quantified the crack and exfoliation appearing on the exterior of a building using an unmanned aerial vehicle. As a result of the study, 4 exfoliations and 8 cracks were detected. And the detected cracks were quantified using image processing techniques. This study is expected to be used as a basic study when developing building safety inspection techniques using an unmanned aerial vehicle.
