THE MODEL OF MULTI-LEVEL FACTORS OF AFFECTING THE QUALITY ACCORDING TO HIGHER EDUCATION STANDARDS OF GRADUATE STUDENTS, RAJABHAT UNIVERSITIES

Abstract
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study factor levels of Quality according to Higher Education Standards of Graduate Students in Rajabhat Universities, 2) to seek for student factors, thesis supervisor factors, and curriculum factors resulting on quality according to Higher Education Standards of Graduate Students in Rajabhat Universities, 3) to establish multi-level factor model resulting on quality according to Higher Education Standards of Graduate Students in Rajabhat Universities, and 4) to find ways for developing quality according to Higher Education Standards of Graduate Students in Rajabhat Universities. The group sample consisted of 64 course responsible persons, 90 thesis supervisors and 597 graduate students or 751 in total, drawn by multistage sampling. The research instruments were a questionnaire and an interview with the confidence value of 0.947 and 0.940 respectively. Statistics employed is average, mean and standard deviation. The HLM 8 was employed for analyzing the multi-level factors. The results were found that: The quality according to Higher Education Standards of Graduate Students in Rajabhat Universities was found at the most level.For the student factors, it was found that inquisitive mind and aiming for the future was found significantly at the .01 level. While for the supervisor factors, it was found that communication skills were found significantly at the .05 level. For the curriculum factors, it was found that Course President Leadership was found significantly at the .05 level. Interaction variables towards regression coefficient, it was found that tracking system was interacted with aiming for the future significantly at the .01 level. For paying attention to counseling and quality management system were interacted negatively with inquisitive mind at the .05 and .01 levels respectively. The tracking system was interacted with inquisitive mind at the .05 level. The multi-level factor model resulting the quality according to Higher Education Standards of Graduate Students in Rajabhat Universities is shown as follows: QUALITY = 4.588**+0.304**MONI*FUTU+0.284**FUTU-0.257*MIND*CURI -0.234**PROC*CURI+0.211*MONI*CURI +0.159*LEAD +0.132*COMM+0.131**CURI 4. Guideline of a development of quality according to Higher Education Standards of Graduate Students in Rajabhat Universities consists of encouragement of students‟ inquisitive mind, cultivate the ideas for planning, having good trend for aiming to the future. From the results of the study, encouragement of thesis supervisors to have communicative skills, paying attention to supervise the students by using appropriate language, providing assistance with verbal and friendly manner and attribute supporting supervision. Encouragement of course president leadership should be illustrated in leadership skills to lead to group activities to the cooperative target, having the administrative process in order that the planning system and administration are efficient and to achieve the proposed goal and lead to have quality process in administration.
