Abstract
In this paper, a study has been conducted on the Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFCs) across India where the impediments encountered by the NBFCs have been studied using descriptive and thematic analysis. The paper also analyses the role of co-origination of loans, since its inception, in helping NBFCs alleviate their liquidity crunch. For this purpose, 24 NBFCs have been analysed with respect to various parameters and the various statistical methods applied include Pearson's Correlation and multiple regression. With respect to the challenges faced in terms of coorigination of loans, a thematic analysis has been done to capture the qualitative data. The results imply that the NOF and AUM have a considerable impact on Net Borrowings of an NBFC with the coefficient of correlation being considerably high. In terms of inclination of NBFCs towards co-origination, it was observed that percentage stake in Priority Sector Assets and AUM play a major role
