DIVIDEND PAYOUT POLICY OF ISLAMIC VS. CONVENTIONAL BANKS IN PAKISTAN: MODERATING EFFECT OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

Abstract
This study will focus on the investigation of factors that affects the dividend payments and moderating effect of corporate governance on dividend policy for Islamic and conventional banks of Pakistan to test whether the factors that affect Islamic banks' dividend policy differ from the factors affecting conventional banks' dividends under different corporate governances. This study will adopt a quantitative research design and use methods of estimation as Ordinary Least Square Regression, Least Square Dummy Variable and Moderated Regression Analysis with Panel data of ten Islamic banks and twenty conventional banks for the period of 2008 to 2017.
