Abstract
The vessel selected for this study is a VLCC (very large crude carrier) with double hull. The size of the selected vessel is justified by the fact that in our days some VLCC are transformed into FPSO (floating production storage and offloading) or FSU (floating storage unit) ships and during conversion the 3D-FEM strength analysis is to be carry out to verify the strength of the hull structure.
