Abstract
We aim to conduct a systematic analysis of Bibtexts from the web of science data base related with the area of corporate mergers and acquisition. The empirical analysis provides the outcomes such as research collaborations, citation analysis, authors production over a period of time and most recent of the temporal co-author networks. We did the analyses with two packages such as Bibliometrix and Biblioshiny with R Studio and aimed to trace the emerging authors and knowledge bursts over time in the area of mergers and acquisitions. We find that literature have a conclusion as the mergers and acquisition of firms leads to the efficiency in operation as well as the stock market performance. However, we also find some studies reflected the efficiency decrease and employee frustration after the process of mergers and acquisition. It is also observed that most of the studies have concentrated in the developed counties such as the USA and UK. We could not find the studies from the authors who were from the developing counties.
