Abstract
Speech is the most basic and preferred method of communication among humans A filter is a circuit which helps in removing of unwanted signals. The design of digital filters is an important process in the framework of Digital Signal Processing (DSP). The main objective of this project is to investigate design and implementation of Finite Impulse Response (FIR) digital filters using Digital Signal Processor TMS320C6745 by providing the main concepts for the FIR filter design And another objective is to design different filters for speech signals. The Realization of FIR filters can be done by using different techniques. The Filter coefficients can be determined by using Code Composer Studio (CCS5). The work in this paper deals with the implementation of Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filtering algorithm on speech signal using TMS320C6745Digital Signal Processor The results of these experiment indicate the improved signal quality.
