Abstract

Due to the regularly expanding utilization of the web, information security has turn into a typical issue in the society. Is particularly a case for the youthful adults having various types of attitudes towards the practices of information security? In this research paper, it analyse some factors that motivate the information security behaviours of college students. In view of the idea of dread excitement within the presence of a threatened situation, a "Protection Motivation Theory (PMT) which is a wellestablished theory is taken in research model. Habit factors and social norms are added to the model for assessing the information security behaviours of students. An overview of 205 reactions is utilized for testing designed model utilizing modelling of structural equation for analysing the relationships among factors. Results depicted that students are extremely motivated for practicing the information security if it see elevated levels of self-efficacy, severity, response costs and response efficacy. Its aims, be that as it may, are not influenced by social influence or by seen vulnerability or by social impact. Its discoveries recommend that PMT was a significant or valuable to predict the attitudes regarding the information security of the students and its motivation is impacted by the seriousness of these issues.
