Abstract

In the modern era of globalization, expectations have taken a sky high rise in all walks of life. Education being one of major sector in India, the needs of this generation students and the parents have also become complex and difficult to meet and satisfy. There are an increasingly high number of schools that intend to provide quality education along with satisfaction for students and teachers. There is a surge in the number of providers and accepters of holistic and personality building education as opposed to only a knowledge imparting system that existed a couple of decades ago. There is a need for the Indian education system to notch up its standards to meet those of the western countries where the success rate in all professions is very high. Teachers are the only source for this to happen and it is their well-being and happiness that affects the quality of work they deliver in class-rooms. In order for our students to stand high on the global stage, the strategies for the overall well being of schools need to be designed and brought in place. This paper aims at examining the factors that majorly influence the process of inculcating happiness among teachers in schools and how it would affect the productivity and efficiency of teachers in moulding the current generation children who represent the future.
