THE INFLUENCE OF INDIVIDUAL, CONTEXTUAL AND PROCESS FACTORS TOWARDS READINESS TO CHANGE AMONG EMPLOYEES AT ONE OF STATE GOVERNMENT LINKED COMPANIES OF MALAYSIA

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to examine the factors that influence readiness to change among employees at one of state government linked companies of Malaysia. The scope of this research was employees who are working there. The instrument that used to collect data was questionnaire. A total of 184 questionnaires were conveniently distributed to the all employees. In this study, the researcher analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 23. The result examined that were factors influence readiness to change among employees namely core self-evaluation, cohesion, participation in decision making, and quality of change communication. The result of the study found that the factors influence readiness to change among employees was core self-evaluation (positive), followed by core self-evaluation (negative), and participation in decision making. Therefore, the researcher highly recommended the management to plan excellent and appropriate actions by focussing of those factors that shown significant outcomes that influence readiness to change among employees. The researcher also recommended for future research to be carried out in other factors as additional variables to measure readiness to change.
