Abstract

The article is devoted to identifying the specifics of the explication of the basic cognitive strategy in the discursive space of the good wishes of the Karachay-Balkarian language. The definition of the status of good wishes as a discursive space, acting as a set of independent discourses of different cognitive and pragmatic nature, and having a single conceptual organization, is justified. The basic strategy of this discursive space is determined, as well as the stratagem. The latter is known as a certain sequence of discursive actions that contributes to the development of the discourse of good wishes: an appeal to higher power, to the emotions and feelings of the participants in the situation, actualization of the objects of desire, actualization of the humor culture. The functional varieties of the optative structure, which is the main means of explication of the basic cognitive strategy “Wish for Good” in the Karachay-Balkarian language, are described. The language methods and means are identified that enhance the solemnity and expressiveness of the speech. They give the originality and provide the specificity for the objectification of the basic cognitive strategy of good wishes. Such methods and means include poetic form, ethno-marked sustainable formulas, rhetorical figures of speech, expressive and evaluative words, as well as the words-names of the realities of life, material and spiritual culture, religion of Balkarians and Karachays
