Abstract

The aim of the article is to analyse communicative situations and single out ways to actualize interlocutors' personal features via the use of stylistic devices. This aim is achieved through fulfilling the following objectives: to state the peculiarities of a definite situation; to specify what chosen language means facilitate the process of speech influence or speech manipulation. The article shows how the actualization of speakers' individuality occurs if we take into consideration a definite communication situation as well as the chosen language means to affect the interlocutor. The carried out linguistic analysis proves that to make communication successful and to achieve a particular communicative intention the participants of a dialogue should pay attention to the peculiarities of a speech situation and presuppositions of the interlocutors. This can dictate the choice of linguistic means and determine the speech behaviour tactics during the dialogue. Dialogue is a speech activity and it is closely connected with the general pragmatic activity of a person. Communicative activity is specific and individual as it is determined by peculiarities of a person's psychic and social activity. Thus, we can speak about two types of language communication: linguistic and social, as any utterance in a particular situation has a wide background of preliminary conditions, which structure the further communication.
