Abstract
The article deals with the questions of research of phraseological and terminological funds of the language in the context of historical and cultural subtext of their components. Historical-cultural context is an essential part of phraseological image, which creates a deep meaning. The author examines the application of methods of linguoculturology as an additional instrument that helps to understand historical-cultural image of the phraseological unit. The actuality of research is specified by the necessity of involving extra linguistic information in educational process of non-linguistic students. The peculiarity of audience is complicated by the fact that the recipients don't have enough knowledge in linguistics that's why special powerful means of influence should be implicated to achieve the most effective perception of educational material. The object of the research is based on the fund of English and German phraseological units of economical and business spheres. For the research were selected English and German phraseological units and terms with the components “money”, “gold”, “golden” in English language and some German idioms with the components, nominating old coins. Almost all phraseological units represent the socio-cultural peculiarities as the result of development of the society in different historical periods. The results of the research revealed high degree of effectiveness of linguoculturolgical analysis for phraseological and terminological funds of the language
