Abstract

The article is devoted to investigation of the peculiarities of lexical interference issue in teaching foreign languages, and an attempt to design a complex of special activities in order to overcome this problem. It's necessary to provide school leavers with well-developed communicative skills, allowing to reach understanding and exchange of cultural experience while contacting with representatives of a foreign culture, also important for improving a general level of culture and intelligence. The article presents characteristics of this mechanism: classifications and types of interference, psychological reasons of the issue. The article concludes that in order to overcome lexical interference it's crucial for the content to include consideration of the most frequent occasions of lexical interference and leading rational strategies- planning, prediction and identification
