Abstract
The purpose of this article is to measure the economic security level based on the a multidimensional methodological toolkit for evaluating foreign trade indicators of a country's development. The appropriate security indices was defined. It is noted that taking into account the foreign trade component of the country economic based on foreign trade indicators allows to determine the possible risks related to the nature of foreign trade interaction and the degree of its effectiveness. It should be noted that countries with essentially open economies are characterized by high values of both export and import quotas. It has been determined that, since the post-crisis 2009, the global trend of increasing trade volume has been maintained. Developing countries having a more dynamic trade compared to developed countries. At the same time, for developing economies and countries transition economies, the exported goods volume exceeds the imported goods volume, while developed economies are, on average, net importers. Limit values of foreign trade indicators were calculated as factors in the countries security system, which estimated the hit of the countries for which calculations were made, to the groups «Relative danger zone (risk)» and «Critical danger zone» by foreign trade indicators. Aggregation of foreign trade security indicators made it possible to calculate the relevant security sub-index and to classify countries according to the estimated foreign trade security, taking into account the calculated marginal ones. The highest integrated foreign trade security estimates according to 2018 were obtained for countries such as Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Austria, France, Turkey, Denmark (except Turkey, all countries are developed countries in the European region). The smallest integrated estimates in countries such as Angola, Venezuela, Nigeria, Iraq, Yemen (based on limit values, these countries are in a critical danger zone).
