Abstract
In the modern world, information technologies play a crucial role in all areas of human life. The use of the latest developments in science and technology can simplify and accelerate not only the production of goods and services, but also stimulate their sale. The direct goal of any online store is to sell products and make a profit. Therefore, in contrast to information sites, where promotion can take several months, the promotion of the online store should be engaged in from the first days of its creation. This will help to recoup the investments and to get a stable income in the shortest possible time. Social media marketing (SMM) is a relatively new area of activity for modern businesses, which they actively learn, regardless of the scale and particular features of their activities. Today, social networks are not just a platform for communication, but also an effective channel for promotion. Search engines set a narrow framework, where it is not always possible to fit, and social networks are an accessible «provider» of traffic to the website. The use of social networks to promote the brand is one of the necessary marketing methods that meet modern market requirements for goods and services. Implementing information technologies in marketing will increase the popularity and brand awareness of the company, respond quickly to changing interests of consumers, interacting with customers directly, showing attention to each of them, which will certainly positively affect their attitude to the brand. Consequently, the development of online sales channels can bring a fairly high income with minimal investment, because excluding all the initial investments, it will only be necessary in future to support the promotion and make payments to delivery services.
