Abstract
The article describes theoretical approaches to interpreting the concept of ?global governance?, analyses the main functions of the global governance system and its probable versatility, as worked out by the Commission on Global Governance, as well as the scenarios of global development suggested by the Lisbon Group; the authors have made a study of the main types of institutional interaction between heterogeneous entities of the global institutional system on the basis of the ideas belonging to the German and American schools of thought; the authors’ view of the general outline of a theoretical model of institutionalisation peculiar for the global economic development and its key players has been suggested.
