Abstract
Magnetic Resonance Images (MRI) plays an important role detecting brain tumors. Detecting brain tumor from MRI helps to diagnose earlier and to take decision in treatment planning. In this paper, we present automatic brain tumor detection from MRI based on Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). The method utilizes less number of features extracted using Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM). The pipeline of this paper includes preprocessing, feature extraction, ANN and detection of brain tumor. The automatic method produces better results and they are compared visually and quantitatively. Experimental results have shown that the proposed method is useful for detecting brain tumor successfully.
