Abstract
The article considers the problems of transition to digital format in legal activity. It is established that starting from the doctrinal analysis of the concept of «digital transformation» the author gradually investigates some challenges related to the impact of digital transformation on legal activity. In the legal activity, this is manifested through, namely: technological efficiency in the production of documents (document automation); use of digital transformations in legal activities to avoid geographical and jurisdictional boundaries; introduction of specific technologies with different subjects of law; new technologies of promotion and management of relations with the client; the topic of cybersecurity remains in the spotlight; value aspect in approaches to work includes ethics and reputation in the legal activity, technological competence, inviolable principles, which gives clients a sense of security. The detailed content of these factors that change the traditional practice in providing new forms of legal services is revealed. The problem of special training and knowledge in the field of computer technologies is argued. Attention is paid to innovative technologies in jurisprudence, participation of the largest legal practices in joint projects with IT companies for the development of software for virtual legal robots and the operation of Internet platforms for interaction with clients. The problems that arise with the use of digital technologies in the legal field and the inevitability of the transformation of the legal activity under the influence of information and communication technologies are outlined. The author comes to the general conclusion that the current stage of social development has posed a dilemma for the legal community: to continue the tradition of providing routine and demanding services or to actively engage in their automation. The interpretation that the digital transformation covers the optimization and automation of processes with the introduction of digital technologies is almost the main factor of competitiveness in the legal activity.
