Abstract
Pure and Al-doped Cadmium oxide (CdO) nanocrystalline thin films were synthesized by using the chemical bath deposition method and annealed at 500˚C. The films were characterized to study their structural, optical and compositional properties. The films were used to degrade the azo dyes, methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) using photocatalytic activity (PCA). It was found that the films were capable of degrading MB up to 19% and were able to decolorize MO them up to 30%
