Abstract
A simple and a new hydrothermal method is adopted for the synthesis of CuAlPO4 and MgAlPO4 catalyst by using Triethylamine as a template. The synthesized catalysts are characterized by using FTIR, XRD, SEM and BET. These characterization techniques are proved the formation of tetrahedral framework of CuAlPO4 and MgAlPO4 catalyst. The biodiesel synthesis reaction has been carried out with ethanol. The experimental conditions like contact time, temperature, mole ratio, catalyst dosage are optimized for maximum conversion. Conversion of biodiesel and selectivity of biodiesel is more on CuAlPO4 than MgAlPO4.
