PROMOTING THE ROLE OF THE STATE ECONOMIC SECTOR IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MARKET ECONOMY IN VIETNAM

Since the countries renovation (starting in 1986), Vietnam has developed many economic sectors. While the private economy has developed strongly, the operation of state-owned enterprises in general still has many limitations and weaknesses. This fact gives rise to different views on the leading role of the state economic sector, including the opinions that the state economy should not play a leading role; that the Party's policy on the leading role of the state economy was "bankrupt"; That should privatize the economy and only focus on private economic development is enough, etc. To understand more about the role of the state economy in developing a market economy in Vietnam today, this study focuses on analyzing the current state of market economy development, its role in Vietnam today, from which proposing solutions to develop state economic sectors in the future
