Abstract
This study focuses and investigates the effects of the catering training policies introduced by the Taiwanese government in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic on trainees' learning motivation and training effectiveness. The questionnaire method was used with an effective sample size of 282 (93.07%). The mean of the participating trainees' learning motivation was 3.7475 and that of their training effectiveness was 4.41, indicating a level close to “being satisfied” with their present learning motivation and training effectiveness. The results showed that the trainees' training effectiveness came mainly from their learning motivation, i.e., the improvement in their self-cognition and learning attitudes
