Abstract

Purpose: cyberbullying is considered as serious issue of workplace by the researchers. However, literature on workplace cyberbullying is limited. The purpose of this paper is to analyse and explore prevalence of cyberbullying among white collar professionals specifically from the perspective of gender structure and organizational position. Another aim of this paper is to get idea about reporting trends of workplace cyberbullying among white collar professionals. Procedure/ sample: CBQ questionnaire consisting of 20 items were circulated via LinkedIn platform. Participants were selected by random sampling falls in the criteria of white-collar professionals receiving 79 accurate responses Measures/Method: Cyberbullying behaviour at workplace via CBQ was measured. To find statically difference regarding exposure to cyberbullying with gender and organizational position independent t test was used. To analyse source of expressing cyberbullying behaviour layman's cut-off criterion was used. Results: The results showed that respondents are not exposed to cyberbullying behaviour t their workplace. Hence, no prevalence was reported but e-mail is the most used as a source of cyberbullying. While no significant difference was found for gender and organizational position regarding exposure to cyberbullying. As far as reporting trends are concerned both employee and employer.
