Abstract
In this paper, the focus has given on India's experience of new mechanisms in the arena of governance, how does information and communication technologies use for managing government, and the government's initiative towards effective and efficient utilization of e-governance mechanisms. The paper is trying to provide a historical analysis of India's information and technology revolution and how it has transformed the traditional mode of governance. Furthermore, the paper offers an experimental analysis of Indian e-governance mechanisms in digital age. To explore all those questions, the study uses experimental, historical, descriptive and analytical methods and collects data from various governmental and non-governmental reports, such as National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment 2019, e-Readiness Assessment of States And Union Territories, UN E-Government survey, 2018 etc.
