ON THE ISSUE OF LABOUR PROTECTION DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

Abstract
The article is devoted to the coverage of the following issue — the current aspects of legal regulation of the labor relations in Ukraine during the world's coronavirus pandemic. The main changes in the field of labor that occurred as a result of the introduction of quarantine are presented. The key options for employees and employers to perform their own duties are formulated. Each of these options is considered in details. The basic rights and responsibilities of the participants of labor relations during the all-Ukrainian quarantine are listed. Guarantees of worker's rights to labor protection concerning their safety and proper working conditions are indicated. Legislative acts, that regulating issues of various forms of labor organization are studied. The best variant of working during the quarantine in Ukraine (telecommuting) is offered. It is possible to maintain a balance of interests of the employer and employees thanks to this form of labor organization. Employers were provided with recommendations aimed at improving the working conditions of their own employees and their safety. Possible options for violations of workers' rights and options for their protection are listed. The facts of changing the priorities of professions are given. The decrease of the prestige of some professions and an increase in the demand of others are the result of that. The potential content of the article of the Law of Ukraine «On labor protection», which is devoted to preventive measures for the period of the pandemic, is formulated. The balance between the rights of employees, defined by legislation, and the needs of the employer is studied. Often these two categories do not coincide. Examples of labor relations regulation that would minimize the damage that can be caused by quarantine restrictive measures and the spread of coronavirus disease are given.
