Abstract
The article analyzes the existing methods of training military engineering specialists in the system of higher military educational institutions and its shortcomings, as well as methods and means of its improvement in connection with the modernization of the domestic system of higher military engineering education in accordance with the Bologna Convention, of development armaments and military equipment of engineering troops, the real needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in peacetime and wartime. Emphasis is placed on ensuring the fundamentality of military engineering education, strengthening its military-professional orientation on the basis of studying new models of armaments and military equipment of engineering troops, combat experience of engineering units of the Special Operations Forces. It is proposed to use in the training of military engineers a comprehensive combination of classical and innovative teaching methods, strengthening the military-professional orientation of teaching, the development of cadets' ability to self-education; role-playing games as innovative teaching methods; computerization of lecture courses, computerization of practical and independent classes; combination of training and interactive technologies (intensification and method of gamification in the educational process, use of methods of visualization and updating of knowledge, group tasks; application of information and communication and mobile technologies, methods of mathematical and simulation modeling, computer and multimedia tools).
