RECEPTION SPECIFICS OF CANTOR AND VOCALIST LITURGICAL SINGING. COMPARATIVE ASPECT

The article is dedicated to the creation and reception particularities of liturgical singing. The attention is payed to functions and duties of a cantor as a leader and an organizer of choir in the process of cooperation with choristers (members of choir). We highlighted the factors that influence singing reproduction by choir. The cantor's activity specifics in comparison with kapellmeister, on the one hand, and secular and liturgical soloists, on the other, are circumstanced. It is summarized that the predominant role in integral vision of musical image during liturgical singing is assigned to the cantor, and the choisters' aim is to interpret and embody this image.
