THE STUDY OF BODY CAPITAL: A SOCIOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

The article examines the works devoted to corporal capital, which derive this concept from the works of P. Bourdieu. It is indicated that the body is a precondition for the accumulation of other forms of capital and a reflection of the totality of these capitals. Economic, social, cultural and political capital finds its reflection on the body of a social agent and represents the assimilated schemes of perception, evaluation and action.
