Abstract
The article considers the issues of identification of a person with the help of fingers. Particular attention is paid to fingerprints on refugee issues and the status of migrants in the European Union, including Ukraine. Special control and verification of persons to prevent dual citizenship and illegal border crossing. The maintenance of the control system in Ukraine is substantiated.
