Abstract
Innovation was recognized decades ago as a significant driver and tool for quality in existing and new products and services in a global organization for development, invention and production. There are various innovation measurement frameworks “MF” that can be used to assess innovation in the organizations. Despite the push for innovation in strategy and competitiveness in organizations, most innovation management research fails to identify some of the important questions aligned to innovation. This paper aims to share innovation management concepts, most importantly of innovation management in organizations using different modules, tools and techniques of Innovation management. Moreover, the Tidd and Bessant's (2009) model which identify and determine the innovation management process and the implications of these determinants for a firm's innovation performance in two U.A.E. government organizations Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), will be used to provide insights on the strength and weaknesses of innovation in both organizations respectively. The paper will also cover a comparison between the organizations presented based on the five dimensions of diamond model. It will discuss and include recommendations found and highlighted during the study in order to improve both the organizations' innovation management capability respectively
