Abstract
The aim of the paper is to present A. Krupinski's place in the history of Ukrainian medicine and to give the source analysis for copies of his printed works from the fonds of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. Research is based on the published sources of medicine history and original old-printed works by A. Krupinski in the collections of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. Results. New facts give the information about the spreading of A. Krupinski's works and profoundly open the fonds of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The article is devoted to Andrew Krupinski (11.11.1744-27.04.1783), the Head physician of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria. His professional activity in the organization of public health service in Galicia and medical education, his medical works are in the focus of publication. A. Krupinski was born in Galicia in the noble family. He graduated from Wien University with the doctor's degree and was appointed on the post of the Head physician of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria. His works played an important role in the dissemination of medical knowledge over Ukrainian territory. He was the author of the 7th medical works, 6 of them were published in Lviv, in press-house of Anton Piller and other one – in the press-house of Pochaiv monastery. In 1773 A. Krupinski founded in Lviv «Collegium Medicum», the medical school which trained to be physicians, surgeons, obstetricians and apothecaries. The book-science characteristic his works' copies, their decoration by A. Gochemski's engravings are presented. There are two copies of «Tractatus І De febribus auctis» (Lviv, 1774) and one copy of «Wiadomość o rósciekach w powierzchności…» (Pochaiv, 1782) by A. Krupinski in the fonds of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.
