Abstract
The present work aims to analyze the need and usefulness of public policies during the Covid-19 pandemic. To this end, the present work deals with an analysis of domestic and family violence based on Law No. 11.340 / 06 - known as the Maria da Penha Law, as well as concepts and foundations pointed out in the best doctrine and jurisprudence.
