Abstract

The paper presents a new experimental material on the development of a rational method for the production of iron (III) molybdate in the FeSO₄-Na₂CO₃-MoO₃ system in a highly dispersed state at low temperature and high process productivity. A fairly extensive material on the properties and applications of iron (III) molybdate has been collected, the critical analysis of which indicates the need to develop new approaches to its synthesis. The experimental material obtained in this work confirms the effectiveness of the proposed method for the synthesis of cobalt molybdate. The developed method can also be used to obtain other d-element molybdates and tungstates. Much attention is paid to the comprehensive identification of the obtained iron (III) molybdate in the FeSO₄-Na₂CO₃-MoO₃ system by a complex of physico-chemical methods (thermodynamic, X-ray phase, dispersion, chemical).
