Abstract

This article examines the origin, development and current use of interactive methods of teaching students of economic profile. Analyze the historical development of case study technology; modern approaches and features of application of various methods of assembling and solving cases are determined; the optimal organization of training of students of economic profile on the basis of use of profile cases is studied. The main approaches to the creation and application of business cases in the practice of the world's leading universities are identified. New forms of application of the case method are revealed. It is proved that the use of case-learning technology can significantly improve the effectiveness of learning, increase both professional and speech knowledge base, increase the degree of professional maturity and level of independent thinking, skills of argumentation, proof and defense of their own point of view. The case method in comparison with other teaching methods has the following advantages: allows you to demonstrate academic theory in terms of real events; allows to interest students in studying of concrete discipline in the context of other subjects and the phenomena; contributes to the active acquisition of knowledge, the formation of skills of culture of professional communication, as well as the collection, processing and analysis of information. In economic education, the method of cases has become especially popular, as it allows students to learn to apply the acquired knowledge in real situations. The greatest educational effect has the solution of problems in the economic practice of enterprises and organizations of the future sphere of employment. The systems approach allows us to consider a business case as a complex system that includes various methods of cognition: modeling, systems analysis, problem method, imaginary experiment, methods of description and classification, game methods. Analysis of scientific literature and historical practice of case study shows the high efficiency of this technique, which is aimed not only at developing students' communication skills, is one of the key conditions in the process of forming the professional culture of students of economic profile
