Abstract
— The purposes of this study are threefold 1) to assess changes in estrogen level of the intervention group and the control group before and after the intervention program. 2) to compare the estrogen level of the participants in the intervention group and control group after the intervention 3) to examine the retention of estrogen level of the intervention group after the intervention was over. The Tibetan yoga practice was used as an intervention program. A community-based randomized controlled trial, two group pre–test post-test design was organized with Thai perimenopausal women living in Moo 9, Lahan community in Bangbuatong District of Nonthaburi Province. The independent t-test and repeated measure ANOVA were employed in data analysis. The result revealed that the mean value of serum estradiol of the participants in both groups after attending the experiment was higher than before. The estrogen's mean values of the intervention group were found significantly higher than the control group after the intervention in week 12. The level of estrogen in the intervention group still retain after four weeks of the intervention (week 16) with a significantly higher mean value of the estrogen level compared to the control group
