Abstract

During the fast changing lifestyle and viewing the present income level, nature and type of family structure, habits, preferences and taste regarding products consumers both unorganized and organized retail outlets should be more ground-breaking in order to survive to tell the tale, retain and attract new customers. There are various key motivators that go ahead to the retailing industry as a next booming industry like: value added goods sales, rising aspirations, favorable demographics, increasing population of women, food and apparel etc. Driven by the need to contend in volatile market places and to capitalize on profits it has become obligatory for the retailers to layout their stores in the way that will be a magnet for their emerging customer that helps in maintaining the allegiance of the present customers. In this path, study provides insight into whether the customers prefers to buy the convenience products from the organized retail outlet or unorganized retail outlet taking various products into account like furniture, footwear, eatables, beverages etc. The study also focuses on some ways for improving the satisfaction level of customers of both organized and unorganized retail outlets
