WORK FAMILY CONFLICT AND BURN OUT IN HEALTH CARE CENTRES IN PAKISTAN: MEDIATING EFFECT OF POLYCHRONICITY

Abstract

In today's world of industrial evolution and in competition with more productivity especially in healthcare sector the need of care of staff pay much more attention. Attachment of family issues and their work family conflict is an important issue likely to be considered under discussion. Being involved in certain tasks at the same time the level of their satisfaction, degree of exhaustion and job turn over in the healthcare industry play a vital role to be discussed and evaluated. In support of this, the role of meaningful work in the situation like healthcare industry is also an important factor to be added in. Thus, such evaluation has been made among these factors in the study Data collection was conducted through adopted and adapted questionnaire in time lags from healthcare staff of public and public sector hospital in the twin cities of Pakistan. Out of 250 distributed questionnaires 200 were fully responded and were forwarded for analysis. SPSS was used to analyse the respondents' feedback and results showed that the work family conflict is a successful agent of burn out. In the same way, the mediating effect which is also positively related with the burn out. The addition of meaningful work which if some meaning could made in the job, the output of burn out can be minimized and was evaluated successfully
